After a nearly two-hour conversation with @afarinmansouri today, I am filled with things to think about! - Creativity as something that transcends the body. - Fostering very young musicians by *seeing* and acknowledging their creative process. - The story inside of everything, and how opera can leave details out so participants can contribute to the story. - Reclaiming one's musical heritage - in Afarin's case, Iranian - after immigrating to Canada. - Connecting Iranian and western music-making through @icot.music (with her colleague @shahipiano... who you may remember as the composer of our podcast theme music).
